ABOUT THE EXAM

What is the APPSC Combined Competitive Examination?

The APPSC Combined Competitive Examination — commonly known as APPSC CCE — is the most prestigious state-level civil services examination in Arunachal Pradesh. It is conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission to recruit officers for the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Services (APCS), the Arunachal Pradesh Police Services (APPS), and a range of other allied state government services. For graduates in Arunachal Pradesh, the APPSC CCE is the primary pathway into senior government positions at the state level — positions that carry significant administrative responsibility and long-term career stability. The examination is conducted in three stages: a Preliminary Examination that acts as a screening test, a Mains Examination that tests depth of knowledge across multiple papers, and an Interview or Personality Test that evaluates the candidate’s suitability for civil service. As per the APPSC Exam Calendar 2026, the APPSC CCE Prelims are scheduled for September 6, 2026, with the Mains likely to be conducted in December 2026. Clearing the APPSC CCE requires a different kind of preparation from the APSSB exams — it is longer, more demanding, and covers a significantly broader syllabus across all three stages. Serious candidates begin preparing well before the notification is released, not after.

WHY IGNITED CLASSES

Why Ignited Classes Will Be the Right Choice for Your APPSC Preparation

The APPSC CCE demands a level of preparation that is qualitatively different from most other state government exams. Three stages — Prelims, Mains, and Interview — each requiring a different approach, a different set of skills, and a different depth of knowledge. Most candidates who fail the APPSC do not fail because they lack intelligence. They fail because they prepared without a clear structure, without expert guidance, and without the kind of consistent feedback that only a well-run coaching program can provide. When Ignited Classes launches its APPSC coaching program, it will be built on the same foundation as our APSSB course — a curriculum aligned specifically to the APPSC exam pattern, faculty who understand this exam in depth, and IgniLearn access for online students who cannot attend our Itanagar center in person. The key difference is the scale and depth of preparation required. The APPSC CCE is a three-stage exam that covers a significantly broader syllabus than APSSB. Our APPSC program will reflect that — with dedicated Prelims coaching, a separate Mains preparation module covering all seven merit papers, and Interview guidance for candidates who clear the written stages. Batch details, dates, fees, and enrolment information will be announced through this page and our WhatsApp channel as soon as they are finalized. Register your interest below to be notified first.

PREPARE NOW

The APPSC CCE Prelims are Scheduled for September 2026 — Do Not Wait to Start

One of the most common mistakes APPSC aspirants make is waiting for a coaching batch to open before beginning their preparation. The APPSC CCE covers a vast syllabus — Indian history, polity, geography, economy, environment, current affairs, Arunachal Pradesh-specific topics, and more — across multiple papers in both Prelims and Mains. Candidates who start early — building their General Studies foundation, reading quality current affairs sources, and working through the Prelims syllabus systematically — consistently outperform candidates who start preparation only after a coaching batch begins. Here is what you can do right now, before our APPSC batch opens:

1. Read the Official APPSC Notification

Download the current APPSC CCE notification from the official APPSC website and read it in full. Understand the exam pattern, the papers, the optional subjects available, and the eligibility criteria. This is the foundation of every preparation plan.

2. Start Building Your General Studies Base

The Prelims General Studies paper covers Indian history, polity, geography, economy, and science — subjects that take time to build. Start reading standard textbooks now. NCERT books from Class 6 to 12 across History, Geography, Polity, and Economics are the standard starting point for every serious civil services aspirant.

3. Follow Northeast India and Arunachal Pradesh Current Affairs

The APPSC paper has a consistent focus on Arunachal Pradesh — its geography, history, tribal culture, governance, and state-specific current affairs. Follow local news sources and build a habit of noting state-specific developments weekly.

4. Register Your Interest with Ignited Classes

When our APPSC batch opens, enrolled students will get a structured programme covering all stages — Prelims, Mains, and Interview — with experienced faculty and IgniLearn access. Register your interest now so you are notified the moment batch details are confirmed.

APSSB — Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board — conducts recruitment for Group C and Group D posts, including the Non-Ministerial Technical and Ministerial examinations. APPSC — Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission — conducts the Combined Competitive Examination for recruitment to senior civil service positions including the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Services and Police Services. APPSC is a three-stage exam requiring graduation-level eligibility, while APSSB Non-Ministerial posts require 10+2 qualification.

Yes. When the APPSC batch opens, it will be available both online through IgniLearn and offline at our Itanagar centre — consistent with how we run our APSSB coaching. Online students will have access to live classes, recorded lectures, mock tests, and doubt sessions through IgniLearn.

APSSB and APPSC are two different exams with different eligibility criteria, syllabi, and selection processes. If you are currently focused on APSSB Non-Ministerial (Technical), we recommend completing that preparation first. If you hold a graduation degree and are also targeting APPSC in the longer term, there is significant overlap in the General Studies content — your APSSB General Awareness preparation will contribute to your APPSC foundation.
